My passion for a digital trading space of services and skills was an idea I came up with based on my own needs.
I pitched my idea to my design team and it was perfect timing since the challenge was to create an app that solves a user’s everyday need.
THE TEAM LOVED THE IDEA!
NOW IT WAS TIME TO DIve INTO OUR USER RESEARCH
RESEARCH
My role was to conduct a competitor analysis and initial background research. Our group followed up with a quantitative survey.
We surveyed 18 adults and 100% responded with an interest in a trading services app. The problem statement would evolve as we synthesized our user research.
A Competitor Analysis was important in developing our business strategy
I created a proto persona and conducted qualitative interviews to validate our assumptions and user persona Micah
Interview Snippets & Empathy Map
The User Research included qualitative interviews of individuals over 18 years old. Questions asked:
- How much demand is there for this app?
- Would users trust to use an app like this?
- How could we find a fair way to mediate the trades digitally?
DEFINITION & IDEATION
Team Brainstorming
Storyboard & a User Journey Map helped define our users goals, expectations, and pain points
PROTOTYPING & TESTING
